# Add Employees

Employees are at the center of your setup in equipme. Once employees are created, you can assign services, manage devices, handle onboarding and offboarding, and keep your organisational structure consistent and up to date. To support different team sizes and workflows, equipme offers multiple ways to bring employee data into the platform.

Depending on how your organisation manages employee information, you can create employees manually, import them via Excel, or connect your HR system using HR Sync. For larger organisations or teams with frequent changes, HR Sync is the recommended approach.

#### How employees can be created in equipme

equipme provides flexible options to create and maintain employees, allowing you to choose the method that best fits your setup.

**Manual creation**\
This option is best suited for small teams or quick adjustments. You can add individual employees directly in equipme by entering their information manually. It is ideal when you need full control over the data or only manage a limited number of employees.

**Excel import**\
If you manage a larger workforce or already maintain employee data in spreadsheets, the Excel import is a more efficient solution. You can upload multiple employees at once, ensure consistent data, and reduce manual effort. This method works especially well during initial setup or larger onboarding phases.

**HR Sync**\
For organisations that already manage employees in an HR or identity system, HR Sync offers the most scalable solution. equipme connects directly to your source system and automatically synchronises employee data. Updates such as new hires, changes, or leavers are reflected in equipme automatically, keeping your data aligned without ongoing manual work.
