Mail template variables

What are variables?

When you create email templates in Equipme Pro, you can use variables to insert dynamic information automatically. This works for internal notifications to your own team and for the notifications your customers receive.

Variables act as placeholders. When the email is sent, they are replaced with real data such as names, services, prices or links. Your templates stay flexible, and every email still shows the right information.

Each template has its own set of variables. A variable only works in the templates it is listed for. The general and address variables are the exception: you can use them everywhere.

Write variables exactly as listed

Copy variable names exactly as they appear in the tables. Spelling and capitalization differ between templates. The recipient's name, for example, is FullName in the order confirmation but fullName in the invoice email. A variable that is spelled differently will not be filled.

Working with lists

Some variables contain several entries, for example all items of an order. To display them, loop through the list:

{{#each Items}}
- {{ItemName}}
{{/each}}

Inside the loop, you use the item variables without a prefix. In the tables, the Items[]. notation only shows that a variable belongs to a list.

Nested lists

Some lists contain further lists. The expiration reminder for you, for example, groups services by customer. You need a loop inside a loop:

Using conditions

A variable might not always contain a value. Variables marked as optional in the tables can be empty, and list entries such as selected options are not always present. Wrap these in a condition:

The condition makes sure the value is only used when it exists.

Combining loops and conditions

This keeps your templates clean while still handling optional data correctly.

True/false variables

Variables described as true/false let you show text only in certain cases. For example, show a line only for cancelled services:

Variables that can contain HTML

Some variables, such as ticket descriptions or order notes, can contain HTML formatting. This is noted in the description.
