# Assigning Successor Services to Multiple Devices

In Equipme, you can assign a successor service to multiple devices at the same time. This is useful when several devices are being replaced, returned, or canceled. Instead of handling each one individually, you can select them in bulk and apply the same follow-up action in a single flow.

Equipme helps you stay in control during this process by automatically checking what actions are available for each selected service. For example, some services may not allow external returns because of their current status or configuration. As soon as you choose an action like "Return (External)", you’ll see exactly which services support it and why some do not.

Rather than stopping you entirely, the system lets you continue with the services that are eligible. This way, you always know what is happening in the background, and you don’t have to guess why certain services are excluded.

### Region-specific offers

Not every successor service is available in every country. If you select devices that are assigned to different regions, Equipme will ask you whether you want to limit your selection to a specific country or only show offers that are available across all regions. If you choose a region, you will only see successor products that can be delivered there.

You can also ignore region restrictions altogether. In that case, only region-independent offers will be shown. Equipme shows you clearly how many services are compatible with the selected region or rule, so you can make the decision that fits best.

### Assignment context: user or location

If the services you select have different assignment types — for example, some assigned to a person and others to a location — Equipme will prompt you to choose one context before proceeding. This keeps your successor service assignments clean and avoids conflicting setups.

Once you select a consistent context, only the services that match it will be included. This makes sure the new service can be applied correctly, especially when it comes to tracking, approvals, or delivery.

After filtering out the incompatible services, you will see a summary of the remaining ones and can choose a successor product. The selected service will then be assigned to all included devices.

Once your action, region, and context are confirmed, Equipme will show you a list of all available successor services. From there, you can select the product or configuration you want and apply it to all compatible devices in one step.

You always remain in control. Equipme gives you real time feedback and adapts the options based on your selection so that every successor service assignment runs smoothly and accurately.
