# Financing agreements

Financing agreements in Equipme Pro: create leasing, hire purchase or purchase frameworks with a collection phase, assign orders and devices, statuses, credit institutions.

**Path:** **"Purchasing" → "Financing agreements"**

With financing agreements you map which financing framework purchased devices run through, e.g. a leasing agreement with a bank. During the **collection phase**, you assign orders or individual devices to the agreement. After that, the agreement starts with its term. This way you always know which devices belong to which agreement and can export the list for the financing provider.

The page has two tabs: **"Financing agreements"** and **"Credit institutions"**.

3. Click **"Save"**. If the dates are in the wrong order, "Invalid date value" appears.

## Assigning orders and devices

There are two ways:

* **Whole order:** When [creating an order](/pro/procurement/purchase-orders.md#creating-a-new-order) or later in the order details under **"Financing"** → choose "Financing agreement".
* **Individual devices:** In the order details, in the **"Instances"** tab, choose an agreement per device. The assignment is saved immediately ("Contract assignment successfully saved.").

{% hint style="warning" %}
When creating an order, only agreements whose **collection phase is currently running** (status "collecting") are available. You can't choose agreements there whose collection phase hasn't begun yet or is already over.
{% endhint %}

## Agreement details

Clicking an agreement opens the **"Contract details"** for editing on the left and the assigned **"Orders"** on the right, with "Order number", "Ordered on", "Status", "Supplier", "Last delivery date", "Net total" and the "Total net amount". Clicking an order opens it.

Use **"Export (.xlsx)"** to download the overview as an Excel file, e.g. for the financing provider.

If an agreement is already linked to orders, a change may be rejected: "The financing agreement is already linked to orders and therefore cannot be changed."

## Deleting an agreement

Via the trash icon in the list. An agreement that is still linked to orders or devices can't be deleted ("The financing agreement is still linked and therefore cannot be deleted."). Remove the assignments first.

## Credit institutions

In the **"Credit institutions"** tab, you see all financing providers you use in agreements. Clicking one opens the master data (e.g. address, contact person, contact details) for editing. New credit institutions are created automatically when you enter a new financing provider in an agreement.

## Permissions

View: "Purchasing Controller". Create, edit, delete, assign: "Purchasing Manager" and "Administrator".

## Frequently asked questions

**Why can't I select the agreement when creating an order?**

When creating an order, only agreements in the status "collecting" are available. Your agreement is either still "new" (the collection phase hasn't begun yet) or its collection phase is already over: "Waiting" (contract start is still ahead), "active" or "Expired".

**Can one device in an order belong to a different agreement than the rest?**

Yes. Assign it individually in the order's "Instances" tab. You can then no longer change the agreement for the entire order.

**Does the customer see my financing agreements?**

No. Financing agreements only concern your own purchasing.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://hub.equipme.io/pro/procurement/financing-contracts.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
