# Stock withdrawals

Stock withdrawals in Equipme Pro: log of all withdrawals from the stock warehouse (picking and manual), details per withdrawal, manual withdrawal with reason, status, serial numbers.

**Path:** **"Warehouse" → "Stock withdrawals"**

Every device that leaves your [stock warehouse](/pro/warehouse/stock-warehouse.md) is logged as a stock withdrawal. This happens in two ways:

* **Picking:** You withdraw reserved devices for a customer order in [picking](/pro/fulfillment/picking-production-shipping.md) (picking list).
* **Manual withdrawal:** You withdraw goods without a customer order, e.g. because they are defective, lost or stolen (see below).

## The list

| Column       | Content                                        |
| ------------ | ---------------------------------------------- |
| "Products" | Withdrawn products with quantity |
| "Attributes" | Recorded attribute values, e.g. serial numbers |
| "Picked by" | Who withdrew them |
| "Picked on" | Date (newest first) |
| "Comment"    | Reason or note                                 |

Use the export button to download the list as an Excel file with "Withdrawal ID", products, attributes and status.

## Details of a withdrawal

A click opens the **"Stock withdrawal"** with "Picked by", "Picked on", "Employee" and "Customer" (for picking for a customer order) as well as "Comment". Below that are the withdrawn devices with "Service name", "Products", "Attributes", "Status" and "Location". Clicking a row opens the related service in [Service instances](/pro/operations/service-instances.md).

## Manual withdrawal

**Path:** **"Warehouse" → "Warehouse"** → three-dot menu of a batch → **"Stock withdrawal"**

1. Check the batch details at the top (product, storage location, quantity).
2. Enter the **"Quantity"**. At most as many devices as are in the batch.
3. Select the **"Status"** the devices get after the withdrawal:

| Status                  | Typical reason                   |
| ----------------------- | -------------------------------- |
| "Technical defect" | Device is defective |
| "Self-inflicted defect" | Damage through your own fault |
| "Loss" | Device cannot be found |
| "Theft"                 | Device was stolen                |
| "Active" | Device is put into use elsewhere |
| "Removed" | Device is written off |

4. Enter the **"Reason for removal"** (required).
5. If the product has attributes (e.g. serial number), you can record them per device ("Pos. 1", "Pos. 2" …). Required attributes must be filled in unless you set **"Skip entering attribute values"** (enabled by default).
6. Click **"Save"**.

{% hint style="warning" %}
equipme withdraws unassigned devices first. If you want to withdraw more than are unassigned, the withdrawal takes **reserved** devices: "Only *x* instances are available. You are about to remove *y* reserved instances. This will release the reservation of the ordered items and create new order proposals." The affected customer orders are then waiting for purchase again.
{% endhint %}

## Permissions

View: "Warehouse controller". Manual withdrawals: "Warehouse Manager" and "Administrator".

## Frequently asked questions

**Can I undo a withdrawal?**

No. If a device was withdrawn by mistake, book it back in via ["Book inventory"](/pro/warehouse/stock-warehouse.md).

**Where do I see the serial number of a delivered device?**

In the "Attributes" column of the stock withdrawal or directly on the service in [Service instances](/pro/operations/service-instances.md).

**Why do withdrawals appear here that I didn't make manually?**

Every picking for a customer order is also a stock withdrawal. In the details you see the customer and employee of the order.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://hub.equipme.io/pro/warehouse/stock-withdrawals.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
